Early Intervention
Early Intervention supports children during the early years, when the brain is most responsive to learning and development. The right support at the right time can make a meaningful difference to communication, learning and emotional regulation.
When Early Intervention is considered
Families often explore Early Intervention when concerns are first raised by nursery or early years setting — or when everyday life begins to feel more challenging for their child.
Who We Support
Our Early Intervention service typically supports children aged 18 months to 5 years, although this may vary depending on individual needs and developmental profile.
Support can be helpful for children who are experiencing difficulties with:
- Communication and interaction
- Understanding and using language
- Attention, play or learning skills
- Emotional regulation or behaviour
- Social interaction with peers and adults
A formal diagnosis is not required to access support, decisions are based on individual needs rather than labels.
Our approach
We bring together evidence-based therapies at a key stage in your child’s development. Support is carefully tailored to each child and focuses on building the foundations for communication, learning, regulation and participation in everyday life.
This includes:
- 1:1 therapy to build core skills
- Small group sessions to support social learning, interaction and generalisation
- Multidisciplinary working, with shared goals and consistent approaches
Each child begins with an initial assessment to identify their strengths, needs and priorities for support. Our team develops a personalised intervention plan that may include Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Behavioural Support.
