Autism Diagnostic Assessments
A comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessment pathway for children and young people aged 2-18 years.
Delivered face-to-face at our Macclesfield clinic within a structured, evidence informed framework designed to provide clarity and confidence for families.
Our approach
Our Assessments are conducted with clinical depth and thoughtful consideration, following a robust pathway that:
- Aligns with recognised national guidance, including NICE recommendations.
- Utilises gold-standard tools such as ADOS-2 and structured developmental interviews informed by ADI-R principles.
- Considers the whole individual- strengths, communication profile, sensory processing and day-to-day functioning.
- Incorporates multidisciplinary clinical oversight to ensure diagnostic integrity.
We take time to understand each individual’s unique developmental profile. Our aim is not simply to determine whether criteria are met, but to provide meaningful understanding and clear direction for families.
Diagnostic conclusions are reached in accordance with DSM-5 criteria and formally reviewed within our multidisciplinary team.
A detailed written report outlines diagnostic conclusions, clinical formulation, contextual considerations and clear recommendations for next steps.
